Employment Agreement
  This agreement is made on between (hereinafter called "the Employer") Passport No. , and (hereinafter called the "Domestic Helper"), Passport No. , whereby the following terms & conditions are agreed upon by the Employer for the employment of the Domestic Helper as of at the premises
 
  Responsibilities of the Employer
  The Employer has to take care of the Domestic Helper's welfare. The Employer's general responsibilities are to:
  Provide clear instructions on the duties that are to be carried out by the Domestic Helper
  Ensure that the Domestic Helper has at least 8 hours of continuous rest during the night or the equivalent rest during the day
  Treat the Domestic Helper well and never use any physical punishment of any form on the Domestic Helper.
 
  Salary, Food and Accommodation
After one month of service at the beginning of each month by standing order to her bank account or in cash receipt pay the Domestic Helper a monthly salary of
Pay an overtime premium if the Employer asks the Domestic Helper to work on her day off. The amount will be per hour.
Pay the Domestic Helper an overtime premium of per hour for babysitting on days off.
Pay a monthly Allowance of to the Domestic Helper for her to buy her own food and toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant and soap.
Pay a Food Allowance of as Supplement to the Domestic Worker to buy country specific food
Provide a fair amount of toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant and soap to the Domestic Helper
Pay for any training courses (including traveling expenses) the Employer wants the Domestic Helper to take up e.g. First Aid, Cooking Classes etc.
Deduct each month until and remit the full amount to for repaying a loan of the amount of
Pay for a uniform which is ready made or made to order
It is at the discretion of the Employer to pay a bonus of per year on (the Domestic Helper’s main holiday) in case of truly good services provided
Loans will not be given under any circumstances
Provide food and drink according to local and religious customs to relatives listed below
Provide furnished accommodation to the Domestic Helper

  Medical Benefits
Allow the Domestic Helper to consult a doctor at the Employer's expense if she is unwell.
Medical check-up as required by the Government
Medical check-up before finalizing the contract
Provide insurance for medical care including hospitalization
 
  Holidays and Leave
As many as days of holidays will be granted during ( Christmas, Hari Raya or Deepavali or Chinese New Year etc.) including/excluding government holidays and Sundays
Government Holidays will be granted at the discretion of the Employer
All Government Holidays will be granted
On days off the Domestic Helper needs to carry out the following duties before leaving the house
 
On days off the Domestic Helper is permitted to leave the house at and must return by
All Sundays will be off
One Sunday per month will be off
Every Second Sunday will be off
Three Sundays per month will be off.
 
  Termination of Contract
The Employer hereby states that termination will be implemented if the Domestic Helper has committed any crime under the Law of the Government and if any stealing, lying, deception or cheating is discovered, no second chance will be granted.
If any part of this contract is violated the Employer will attempt to give written warning. In case of a subsequent violation the Employer has the right to immediately terminate the contract without obligation. In the case of gross negligence or abuse immediate dismissal will take place.
The contract will be terminated with one month’s notice and one month’s payment if the Domestic Helper is not able to meet the duties as stated below due to disease or illness.
The contract will be terminated at once if the Domestic Helper is not able to meet the duties as stated below due to family or other obligations.
 
  For Foreign Workers the Employer is responsible

To comply with the rules and regulations set out by the Ministry of Manpower and the Immigration Department of
(State Immigration Laws of )

To pay the Government Levy, Insurance and costs for the processing of the work permit
To pay the full air faire including airport tax for a one-way ticket (if the contract is not renewed) or return ticket (if the contract is renewed with the same family) to the Domestic Helper's country of origin after the Domestic Helper has completed the years contract.

The Employer agrees to grant the Domestic Helper a probation period of month/s following the beginning of this contract. However should the Domestic Helper commit an offence constituting a crime under the law of the Government of The Domestic Helper can be sent back immediately at her own expense.

It is at the discretion of the Employer to keep month/s salary of the Domestic Helper to pay any additional expenses for new hiring in case the Domestic Helper is called back home and the agency does not provide an exchange. This amount plus a fair interest rate will be paid out to the Domestic Helper upon fulfillment of the years contract.

The Employer will be responsible for the safekeeping of the Domestic Helper’s passport.
 
  Responsibilities of the Domestic Helper
The Domestic Helper will appear neat and tidy at all times.
The uniforms provided are to be worn and kept clean and pressed at all times. The Domestic Helper has to replace the uniform at her own expense if ruined or lost by her.
The Domestic Helper is permitted to wash and dry her laundry separately from the Employer's family laundry in the machines provided.
The Domestic Helper will take good care of the furniture and fixtures she will be provided with in her room and replace or repair them at her own expense if damaged by her. She will keep her room clean and tidy at all times.
The Domestic Helper is responsible for the appearance of the entire house, its order and cleanliness.
The Domestic Helper will be responsible for shopping.
The Domestic Helper will be responsible for preparing food and drinks.
The Domestic Helper will be responsible to take care of the pets as stated in the attached work schedule.
The Domestic Helper will be responsible for the care and well being of children as stated in the attached work schedule.
The Domestic Helper will be responsible for the care and well being of seniors as stated in the attached work schedule.
The kitchen is to be kept spotless at all times. The Employer will provide guidelines for handling food and instruct on the cooking of food.
The Domestic Helper Is responsible for the laundry of the family. The Employer will instruct on the use of all appliances including the washing machine, the tumble dryer and the iron.
The Domestic Helper is not allowed to use the Stereo CD/Tape System or computers of the Employer.
The Domestic Helper is not allowed to make or receive private phone calls
The Domestic Helper may use the phone to make and receive calls at times approved by the Employer but shall not be on the phone for more than 3 minutes at any time.
The Domestic Helper is not permitted to receive male callers.
The Domestic Helper is not permitted to receive Collect Phone Calls.
The Domestic Helper should not provide gifts or presents to any family members, as this is too expensive.
The Domestic Helper shall use common sense in respect of the privacy of the family and ensure the security of the property. The Domestic Helper must tell the Employer any and all offensive behavior or actions done to her by any person, both inside and outside the house. This includes threats, nasty language or even aggressive behavior by any person.
The Domestic Helper must not invite friends or strangers into the Employer's house unless permission is given beforehand verbally / in writing
The Domestic Helper must not give the house keys to any friend or stranger at any time. The front and back doors of the home must always be locked.
The Domestic Helper must remember that the events, arguments and relationships that take place in the home are private and confidential and as such cannot be talked about with any other person.
The Domestic Helper is not allowed to accept any employment outside the household. This includes employment in the evenings and on days off.
Alcohol and smoking will not be tolerated. Use or possession of drugs by the Domestic Helper or her guests shall be reported to the Police.
The Employer is not responsible for articles or money missing from the Domestic Helper's room.
